New Ventures, New Communities
As Startup Weekend Bohol 2024-related activities wrap up, we checked in with the community to see what they've been up to since the final day of the event.
Some of the winning teams were able to attend an Agile Product Development workshop by our friends at StellarPH and shared that they were able to further develop their idea and, honestly, find out that some areas of their model were lacking.
Many shared that it indeed is hard to start up! But, we urge community members to keep experimenting - if you don't feel too strongly about what you're starting and the momentum dies, that's okay! Just remember to continue to experiment and subject yourself to new experiences.
Over time, your instinct develops and you'll have a better feel of what projects "spark joy" in you, and this continuous search (or drive for continuous improvement) will ultimately bring you bigger and brighter opportunities.

Watch out for our CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
It's that time of the year, again! Sprout Up Bohol will be opening it's Application for Volunteers this October 21, 2024. We believe in being able to grow the community starting with nurturing individuals. Our volunteer program is a year-long commitment and we will be working with the same group of volunteers for a year-long cycle to ensure maximum learning.

Bohol Entrepreneurs (Anonymously) Unite!
A new meetup group emerged after Startup Weekend Bohol 2024. Bohol Entrepreneurs Anonymous aims to create a safe space for Boholano entrepreneurs to air their concerns, ask for help (and receive it!), and act as a place where new ventures and partnerships can begin for the betterment of the island. Veterans or aspiring entrepreneurs are welcome. Join their facebook group to get the most recent updates. They try to meet twice a month.
