Inspiration comes when you're out of your comfort zone
October was a fairly eventful month for our regular Sprout Up Bohol volunteers. From participating at Geeks On A Beach 2025, to attending UXPH Mini 2025 in the Cebu and Manila leg, good things really do come to those who show up!
The Volunteer Registration for batch 2026 is open now as well, just in time for Sprout Up Bohol's 3-Year anniversary. We take only one batch of volunteers through the year, and for those who consistently show up, we involve them in project and opportunities outside of Bohol. Notably by volunteering at Geeks On A Beach, but participation in other events may also happen depending on what's available for the year.

Joint Volunteer Orientation for Batch 2026
Sat, Nov 22, 2PM to 5PM: This is a joint session with DEVCON Bohol and UX Bohol where volunteers who have registered for 2026 will gather, get to know each other and their chosen organizations, and come up with activities that they want to pursue for 2026. Venue is at Just Sizzlin' Tagbilaran City. More details to be announced as the date is nearer.

FIESTARTUP 2025
[CEBU CITY] Get to know the Visayas startup community by celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunities businesses have to grow int he region! The event is FREE and open to startup founders and enablers based in the region, or hoping to scale their operations in the region. Even if you are not a business owner, if you are interested in Visayan startups, this event is for you.

Bohol Resource Directory
The banner you see above is still a prototype, but a few developers based in Bohol are starting this directory to better showcase the resources and talents available in Bohol. The goal is to allow for more local collaborations between individuals and businesses to increase collaboration within the local ecosystem.
